This option is only used for organizations that use Online registration only.

Multiple Participant Discount

online registration.

This option is optional and allows you to offer discounts when registering one or more participants on the same transaction.

• You can add a Multiple participant Discount OR a Postal Code Discount.

• It can be set up configured to apply a dollar amount or a percentage off to the registration fee. 

• No discounts can be applied to membership fees and other fees

• Rules can be set for to determine which participant receives will receive the discount.

To add a Discount

Click on Discounts from the list of options under Catalog, then click Add.

Fill in the required information:

• Type: Select Multiple participants.

• Mode: Choose the $ or % mode.

• Title: Add a name to your discount

• Rules: Define the rules to determine which participant you want to apply the discount to. Ie:  For example, second child, third child, etc.

  • You must add a rule for each participant (no. 2, no. 3, etc., depending on the number of participants from the same family within your organization in the same transaction)

  • It is impossible to add a discount for a single participant since it is a family discount.

• Expiration Date: Create an expiration date for the discount rule (if needednecessary).

• Status: Select active or inactive status.

Click Save

 You can edit the status of the discount - active or inactive by clicking on the the discount from the list view

How Discounts are Calculated

Discounts will only be calculated on the registration portion of the fee - not the membership fee, and the largest dollar .

Add a discount by postal code.

• Select the type of discount Postal Code

• Click on Edit postal codes

• Enter the city where you want to offer a discount

• Enter the first three characters of your city's postal code

• Click on Search

• All postal codes beginning with the first three characters entered will be displayed.

• Select the postal codes or click on Select All if you want to add them all

• Then click on Add

• Title: Add a name to your discount

• Rules: Define the rules to determine which participant you want to apply the discount to.

  • If you want it to be applied to all participants in the same family, you must add a rule for each participant (#1, #2, #3, etc., depending on the number of participants in the same family in your organization)

• Expiration date: Create an expiration date for the discount rule (if necessary)

• Status: Select active or inactive status

Click on Save.

Add a postal code and multiple participant discounts

• Select the Postal Code discount type

• Click on Edit Postal Codes

• Enter the city where you want to offer a discount

• Enter the first three characters of your city's postal code

• Click on Search

• All postal codes beginning with the first three characters entered will be displayed.

  • Select the postal codes or click on Select All if you want to add them all

• Then click on Add

• Mode: Choose the $ or % mode.

• Title: Add a name to your discount

• Rules: Follow this procedure to define your rules:

  • Apply to participant #: Indicate the amount of your postal code discount to your participant #1

  • Click on +Add a rule

  • If a family discount is applied to the 2nd participant, add the multiple participant discounts with your postal code discount and indicate the discount amount.

  • If a family discount is applied only to the 3rd participant, enter your postal code discount in participant #2. For your 3rd participant, add the multiple participant discounts with your postal code discount and indicate the discount amount.

See the example below:

In the case below, the organization, each participant, gives each participant a $25.00 postal code and a $20.00 multiple-participant discount to the 3rd participant. We have added the $25.00 postal code discount to the $20.00 family discount for the 3rd participant, so the discount amount entered is $45.00.

Status: Select active or inactive status

Modify Discounts

By clicking on your discounts line, a side panel will open to your right, you can change the title, expiration date, and status using the blue pencil.

By clicking on the Action button on the side panel, you have the option to delete it.

Example 3 - Postal Code and Multiple Participant Discounts ($)

Cash rebate ($) for a family of three children with both the postal code and multiple participant rebates

• Each child receives a $25.00 postal code discount

• The second child receives a $50.00 discount

• The third child receives a $100 discount

• Registration fees are $500, $400, and $300.

• The affiliation fee is $46.16

• Discount using % with a Family of 3.

• Second child receives 25% off

• Third child receives 50% off

• Registration fees: $500, $400 and $300

• Membership fee is $45.16

Postal Code Discount

To add a Discount

Click on Discounts from the list of options under Catalog, then click Add. 

• Select the discount Type Postal Code from the drop down

• Choose the mode $ or %

• Click Edit postal codes to add your region for the discount

  • Enter the province, city, and partial or leave blank to find all, then click Search.

  • All postal codes of the selected city will be displayed, you have the option to click on Select All postal codes or to select the desired postal codes by clicking on them.

  • Once your selection is complete, click on Add.

• Add a title

• Set the rules for which participant(s) to apply the discount to. I.e. second child, third child, etc.

• Create an expiration date for the discount rule (if needed).

• Click Save

Example 2 - Postal Code Only Discount (%)

• Each child receives a 10% postal code discount

• The registration fee is $46.16
