Moving participants to an Ineligible Members status is permission based, and will disallow this member from registering for hockey or be rostered to any team within Hockey Canada.

  • Select from the drop down a Reason For Status Change:

  • Basic field change

  • Address change

  • New profile

    • Historical sanction - Hockey Canada or a member has in fact sanctioned that person in the past and we have evidence to support it.

    • Sanction - This is an outcome that may result from the Complaints and Disciplinary Measures Policy. The new sanctions lead to this situation.

    • Criminal convictionsConvictions(s) - Hockey Canada or a member has evidence (potentially newspaper articles) that a person has a criminal conviction that makes them ineligible.

    • Maltreatment complaint / Hearing decision - Maltreatment Complaint/ Hearing Decision.

    • Temporary ineligible / ongoing processes

    • Profile incorrectly made ineligible

    • Temporary ineligible period complete

    • Other - Hockey Canada or a member must render a person temporarily ineligible due to a ongoing processes lead by the BCIS or NSO’s independent third party.

    • Profile Incorrectly Made Ineligible - We have determined that the profile status was changed inadvertently or by mistake.

    • Temporary Ineligible Period Complete - The person has served the fixed-term suspension associated with their sanction. Such a situation could arise during a disciplinary process.

  • Enter a note

  • Click Submit

Note

This will set the members status to Ineligible, blocking all activity on the platform.

To create an ineligible member, go to the member search page, and click +Add Member, select Add Ineligible Member.

A profile will be created with an HCR#, but no date of birth has been added. From the Action button, no actions are available.

When a new profile is created during an online registration for a clinic or a team, the system will flag any profiles that are potential a match to an ineligible member. The member will be allowed to continue the registration, but an email will be send to JP who - branch and or Hockey Canada?.

From the Tasks / Potential Ineligible Members menu, you will find a list of possible matches to ineligible members.
