Waiver can be set up by Hockey Canadayour governing sports association, your provincial governing body branch office and by your association. For a list of waivers that are automatically set up for you, please ask your district office.

Note: Only waivers that are created by your organization will be visible in your account. All mandatory waivers from Hockey Canada, provincial governing bodies (this includes Rowan’s Law) and district offices the waivers menu. Any mandatory waivers added by your provincial or regional organization will automatically be applied to the your registrations. You can view the a list from the side panel of of all waivers in the registration feefees sidebar.

 

To Add a Waiver: click on ‘Waiversfrom the list of options under the Legal and Forms section, then click ‘Add’. Once you have completed the waiver, clickSave

Once you are content with your waiver, you can click the blue add button at the bottom. A list of waivers that you have created will be displayed, giving you an overview of which ones you have made mandatory, and their status. You can edit the waiver, the mandatory or critical status and active status by clicking on the row of the waiver.

Waivers Page

From the Catalog / Waivers menu, you will find a list of waivers created for that season.

  • From the search box, you can enter partial or full to filter the display on screen.

  • You can click on the directional arrows to sort by that column.

The list of waivers will be displayed.

  • Title - the title of the waivers

  • Mandatory - Will show a list of waivers that needs to be signed during registration, but will not prevent them from being approved on a team

  • Critical - Will list a list of waivers to need to be signed AND will prevent them from being approved on a team if not signed

  • Status - the status of the waivers

Add a Waiver

Click on Catalog, Waivers, and + Add.

Fields marked with an * are required

  • Mandatory: A response must be provided for the waiver at the time of registration.

  • Critical: A response must be provided to be added on a teamapproved on a team.

  • Title *: Add a name to your waiver.

  • Description *: Add a description of your waiver.

    • Several formatting options are available, including adding a web link if you wish to direct your members to your website.

  • Confirmation option: Add the confirmation option that the member will have to check at the end of the waiver (example: I agree)

  • Decline option: Adds the decline option that the member will have to check at the end of the waiver (example: I disagree)

    • If neither box is filled in, the system will add the default message I have read and agree to the waiver if it is mandatory. If it is not mandatory, the system will also add the choice I prefer not to sign.

  • Active: Make sure your waivers are active.

  • Preview: Clicking this button will display a preview of your waiver.

  • ClickAdd.

 

Tip

Tip: If you want to copy text into your terms and conditions, you need to use the command keys instead of using your mouse. Click Ctrl+C to copy, and Ctrl+V to paste.

Modify a waiver

If you need to change your waivers, click on the waiver, make the changes, and click Save.
