Note: This documentation is aimed at club or association users responsible for placing games on playing surfaces.
Most leagues create games and select dates for each one. They then share the schedule with the clubs or the associations, i.e. they give them the responsibility of finding an available field and time for the game.
Important: In soccer, some provincial leagues have already shared their schedules using the old method. The schedule links in the e-mails sent to clubs will no longer work. If you've already done so, there's no problem, you've lost nothing.
The new scheduler allows the club to see all the games waiting for a pitch and a time slot, so the user doesn't have to do just one schedule at a time. For example, you no longer need to do your club's U14-M-LR and then the U15-M-LDIR, etc. You have all the games, from all the leagues, in one time slot. You have all the games from all the leagues, sorted by date. As soon as a game is shared by a league, it will be displayed in your club or organization's player. So it's now much easier for you to get an overview of activity on your fields.
Simply go to your club, choose the Scheduler tab and select a game in the left-hand column. As you select it, it will be copied to the top of the column of the selected Game module. The right-hand part of your screen will change from Month to Day. This right-hand window is the calendar, and the calendar context will change according to your selection in the left-hand list. For example, in the left-hand list, all games will be displayed, regardless of division, so you could have a U17 match, a U11 match, a U9 match, etc. The fields displayed on the right will change according to the division. For example, a U17 division will display 11x11 fields, while a U11 division will display 7x7 fields.
Normally, each game in a league is sent to you with a date; by selecting it, the precise day will open to your right, and you can drag the match to the pitch and time of your choice. If the league has indicated the booking duration and pitch format in its parameters, you'll have no trouble finding a suitable pitch.
Please note: by default, all games are 60 minutes long. It is the responsibility of leagues and tournaments to include a Field Reservation Time in each competition to help you fill your fields.
You'll also see all the team's background in the calendar. When you're in the Day view, this is rarely a problem, as the league will have already checked everything. However, when you select a game for one of your teams in this calendar, you'll be able to see both games and practices.
Once a game has been placed on a field and time slot, you don't have to do anything else. It's saved automatically. The league can already see what you've done. If, a few minutes later, you realize that you should have set the game you wanted 30 minutes earlier, you can still move it - as long as it hasn't been published by the league.
Old inverter
The old inverter is no longer available. The Games in Shared Drafts report is therefore no longer useful.
You won't receive an automated e-mail from PLAY telling you that a schedule has been shared. It's actual communication between the league and the clubs that will alert you to go to your Scheduler. Logically, in April, you should be going to your club or association scheduler almost every day.
Changing the date
Soccer Québec's rule is that clubs cannot change the date of a game. This is a parameter available to each league. If you think you should have this right, you need to contact your league. By default, this feature is not available to clubs in the system.
