Rules and restrictions on athlete movement
Soccer Québec's operating rules now limit the movement of athletes in specific categories by setting a maximum number of movements authorized. The athlete (or his/her parent/guardian) must submit a movement request for a transfer between clubs, which can be initiated from the athlete's main account. Any player from U9 to senior who wishes to change clubs must submit a movement request.
How do I submit a movement request?
The number of movement requests an athlete may submit is unlimited. However, a current request must be processed and approved before a new one can be submitted.
Only the member's account owner can access the movement request. If an error message indicates that you are unable to request because you are not the member's Spordle account owner, please contact your primary club. They will be able to make the necessary changes.
There are two ways to submit a movement request:
1. With an online registration
If you'd like to change clubs, start by visiting the online store of the new club you'd like to join.
You will need to start the registration process and select the category you wish to join.
If a movement request is required for the desired category, the account owner must submit it and wait for approval before finalizing the registration.
Once the request has been approved, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the account owner, inviting him to complete the registration via the new club's online store.
You can also access the "To Do" tab in My Account Spordle. The registration associated with the completed movement request will be displayed with the "Pay Now" indication.
2. From your Spordle account
It is also possible to initiate a movement request even before starting the online registration process.
Log in to your Spordle account.
Go to the Members tab and select the athlete's record.
A "Movement" tab will appear in the member's file.
Select the new target organization. The categories available for it will be displayed, and all you have to do is choose the one that suits you best.
You can add a note that will be visible to the organizations that will manage the approval of your request.
Apply.
Once the request has been submitted, you must wait for approval before registering with the new club.
You can follow the status of your request by clicking on your completed movement request.
Once you receive notification that your request has been approved, you can finalize your listing via the online store. Be sure to select the category corresponding to the one approved in the movement request, otherwise, an error message will be displayed indicating that the category of the listing must match the movement request.
