Here’s the latest releases and updates from the Spordle PLAY platform

New Features & Improvements

A new availability setting allows assigners and admins to manage officials' category eligibility.
Users can now define categories by position.
- Example: Edouard can be a Referee for U18 AA but only a Linesman for U18 AAA.
By default, all officials are eligible for all categories.
When assigning a game, if an official does not meet the set criteria, a flag will indicate their ineligibility for that position.
- Note: Assigners can still assign the official despite the flag.
UI Change: The availability “SETTINGS” button has been split into three buttons at the top right (previously located at the bottom of the availability calendar).

A new “Add Officials” button is available on the Officials / Scorekeepers / Official Lists cards.
This opens a form to bulk import officials based on:
- Organization
- Sub-organizations
- Official Venue
- Name

Official list rows in the Official Lists card are now expandable for easy viewing.
Previously, clicking a row opened an edit form, making it difficult to view lists.

A new toggle allows users to filter officials by:
- Current organization only
- Including sub-organizations (default behavior)
The reason for the change is that users were confused when they saw officials from other organizations but were unable to add them to lists.
Browser Cache: The toggle setting is stored, so it remains the same when users return to Play.

The Incident Reports card on the Suspension page now displays all incident reports linked to a player in a game.
- Example: If Edouard is penalized for verbal abuse of an official and a dangerous hit, both incidents will be displayed.
This gives the discipline committee a more complete view when determining suspension severity.

The automatic infraction rule form in the Rulebook tab did not filter infractions by season.
This has been corrected.

Selecting players or coaches individually did not update the lineup count. This issue is now resolved.

Previously, only points, sportsmanship points, standings order, and schemas propagated from office settings to schedule settings.
Now, all applicable settings propagate correctly.

When scheduling recurring practices after 8 PM (EST), the recurrence incorrectly started the next day. This has been fixed.
