Winter Season Launch

To help you prepare for winter registration, here are a few points to bear in mind:

REGISTRATION FEES AND AFFILIATION FEES

When building your winter soccer catalog, you need to create your registration fees with affiliation fees included (don't exclude fees). Since this is the same season for Soccer Québec (2023-2024 season), affiliation fees are payable only once.

Therefore, for the members who have already paid these fees in the summer of 2023, the system will recognize that the fees have been paid, and these fees will automatically be excluded from the invoice to be paid. For new members, the fees will be charged in the same way as for summer registrations.

In order to distinguish summer fees from winter fees, we recommend that you use the activity period when creating fees. You can return to your catalog at any time to modify an activity period for a registration fee.

WINTER TEAMS

When creating your teams for the winter season, we recommend that you create new teams. To do this, you can use the activity period in the team's general information to clearly identify which period the team belongs to. In addition, do not remove players from the summer team until the summer activity period is over. If a team does both summer and winter and the composition will not change, you can set the period to summer and winter. You can modify existing teams if the activity period has not been selected.

If you decide to use the same teams as those used in the summer, but remove players who are not part of the winter team, you must ensure that all the games to be played have been played. Otherwise, you may run into problems with your team’s roster in Play.
