Products and services - Registration Fees

 

Registration fees represent the amount payable when registering a participant for an activity during a specific period or season.

 


 

 


 

Please note that membership fees must be activated by Hockey Canada, the branch, and, if applicable, the region or district in order for the MHA to program its registration fees. If membership fees are not activated, the category will be grayed out in the registration fee creation drop-down menu.

 

BEST PRACTICES…

  • Assign a generic title to your registration fees

  • Do not include the season date, year of birth, or age of participants, practice days, or game days in the name of your registration fees.

    • EXAMPLE :

      • Registration U13-female

      • U15 Male Fees

      • M11-Male

  • When naming your registration fees, keep in mind that they may be used again next season. This will save you from having to change all your registration fee names.

  • Make sure you have entered the correct amounts for your regular, early, and late fees.

  • Ensure that your registration fee status is active.

 


Creating registration fees

 

 

Here are the steps to follow to add registration fees:

 

  1. In your HCR dashboard, click on the “Catalog” menu and select the “Registration Fees” option.

  1. In the “Registration Fees” section, click the Add button and select one of the options: “Create a Fee” or “Rollover.”

Create new fees

 

 

All fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.

 

  1. Fill in the “Member Type” section of the “Add Registration Fee” form that appears.

  2. Select the type of member.

  3. Determine whether your registration process is active or inactive.

  4. Indicate the number of places available for the division, in particular to open a waiting list or display the number of places remaining.

  5. Set the order in which your fees are displayed in your online store.

  6. Check the “Waiting list” box if you want participants to be able to register when the maximum number of available places has been reached.

  7. Check the “Show remaining places” box if you want to display the number of places remaining on the waiting list.

  8. Select the Division to limit registration to a specific age group, or the category and minimum and maximum ages, if applicable (optional).

 

 

  • If you want to create registration fees for multiple age divisions, you must select the desired maximum age division and then customize the minimum and maximum ages.

  • The maximum age must not exceed the age of the selected division, according to your Federation's age table.

 

  • No fee will be charged to participants when they register on the waiting list.

  • It is possible to increase the number of places available when the limit is reached; however, each entry on the waiting list must be evaluated (accepted or canceled) on a case-by-case basis.

  1. Enter the name of your registration fee (generic) and the season to which the fee applies.

  2. Check the “Exclude membership fees” box if your registration is not subject to membership fees (e.g., a training camp).

  3. Enter the amount of your general registration fee and, if applicable, different amounts for early or late registration, specifying the deadline dates and times for each.

  4. Check the “Taxable” box if applicable.

  1. Fill in the “Catalog” section by selecting the questionnaires, exemptions, and payment types that have been previously created or established using the drop-down menus.

  2. Finally, click the Add button.

 

 

Registration fee rollover

 

 

You can also roll over and reapply the registration fee from a previous season.

 

Here are the steps to follow:

 

  1. In the “Registration Fees” section, click the + Add button and select the “Rollover” option.

  1. In the “Registration Fee Rollover” window, select a previous season from which you want to import a fee and click the Search button.

  2. Check the box for the fee to be renewed or all of them by clicking Select All, then click the Next button.

  1. If necessary, click on the gear icon to change the name and details of your fee for the new season, click on the Save button, then on the Create button.

 

 

It will be possible to modify this information in the side panel of each registration fee after they have been created.

Duplicating registration fees

 

 

To duplicate registration fees and modify them according to the characteristics of another division, first click in the section of registration fees to be duplicated and then click the Actions button in the right-hand side panel that appears. Then select the “Duplicate” option.

Modifying or removing registration fees

 

 

To edit or delete a registration fee, first click on the registration fees section and then on the Actions button in the right-hand side panel that appears. Then select either the Edit or Delete option.

You can also click on the blue pencil icon to the left of the Action button or to the right of each field to display the “Edit Expense” window.
