The list of background checks that are on file will be displayed.

  • Created By: The name of the organization that made the addition to the file and the date it was added will be displayed here, as well as the last date it was updated

  • Type: The type of verification - background check, vulnerable sector (VSC), or reporting

  • Valid on: The date the background check was entered

  • Expires at: The date on which it expires. Note: The validity period for each type of registration is defined by the provincial or regional organization in the settings menu, there are two methods of expiration

    • Fixed period: The background check will expire after the combined date and duration. If the total duration exceeds the year duration, the system will cut off 1 year. However, it is important to keep in mind that for a given period of time the cut-off date is June 1st

      • So, if a background check is entered with the end date of July 1st 2022, the system will calculate the expiration date for June 1st 2022

      • But, if the expiry date is March 1, 2022, the calculation is based on June 1st 2021

    • Fixed date: The background check will expire after a duration of the background check from the date the background check was created

  • Status: The status of verification is: pending, completed, expired, denied

To update a verification, click on the line to open the side panel, and use the blue pencil to update. To delete, click the Action button and select Delete.

It is not possible to change the status of an Expired background check.

If you have selected this status by mistake, you will need to create a new background check, which will replace the expired one.

The organization that made the entry for a background check will be the only one that can update the status of the background check.
