Game Dependencies

When a schedule is created using brackets, there are dependencies created between each game. There are also seeded position dependencies created for some specific games.

Note

Currently, the app does not expose this feature, meaning that any changes to dependencies require rescheduling.

Reseed Bracket Games

In As part of the bracket selection processprocedure, certain games are assigned seeded positions. These positions are determined by the team's order within the ranking of the teams in the group from which the bracket system games originated. For instance, in Game 1, Position 1 (Team Order 1) might be the home team, while Position 4 (Team Order 4) could be the away team. To seed the games, choose the "Reseed Bracket Games" option and then pick the appropriate group that includes the bracket you wish to seed. If there are seeded position games that are already approved, no changes are made to those specific gamesoriginate. To allocate games, select the "Fill bracket" option, then select the appropriate group containing the bracket system you wish to allocate. If game positions have already been approved, they will not be modified. It is possible to change the order of your teams before automatically filling the bracket system.

Info

For a tournament following the regular schedule, you can manually place the teams according to their positions in the regular standings. Then, you can reseed the bracket games.

Team Advancement

Based on the bracket selection, some game will depend on the win/loss result of a previous game. As an example, Game 1 may result in the winner advancing to Game 4 as the home team and the loser advances to Game 9 as the away team.

Advancement automatically happens once the scoresheet is approved. If a dependent game is already approved, no changes are made. If a tie occurs, advancement does not automatically happen.

Note

A notification is sent to team coaches when the bracket is completed and each time their team progresses.
