Brackets can only be created for Playoff and Tournament schedules.

To create a bracket schedule, it is necessary to have a sequence for the chosen schedule.

To add the sequence: go on game tab in your schedule then choose sequence or press +create then go down to add sequence.

Draft games are not used for brackets

Games created by the bracket system are immediately published to the public.

To create a bracket, input the number of teams, choose a group if required, select the format, and then pick the bracket style you wish to use. The final choice depends on the options previously selected.

A small preview panel is available and you can click on the button “Open in Viewer” to see a better preview of the bracket to make sure you’re satisfied with the format. The viewer let you zoom in, zoom out and also download the bracket.

Once you click Publish, games will automatically be created. The schedule’s sequence will be used to populate the game numbers.

Game Dependencies

When a schedule is created using brackets, there are dependencies created between each game. There are also seeded position dependencies created for some specific games.

Currently, the app does not expose this feature, meaning that any changes to dependencies require rescheduling.

Reseed Bracket Games

In the bracket selection process, certain games are assigned seeded positions. These positions are determined by the team's order within the group from which the bracket games originated. For instance, in Game 1, Position 1 (Team Order 1) might be the home team, while Position 4 (Team Order 4) could be the away team. To seed the games, choose the "Reseed Bracket Games" option and then pick the appropriate group that includes the bracket you wish to seed. If there are seeded position games that are already approved, no changes are made to those specific games.

For a tournament following the regular schedule, you can manually place the teams according to their positions in the regular standings. Then, you can reseed the bracket games.

Team Advancement

Based on the bracket selection, some game will depend on the win/loss result of a previous game. As an example, Game 1 may result in the winner advancing to Game 4 as the home team and the loser advances to Game 9 as the away team.

Advancement automatically happens once the scoresheet is approved. If a dependent game is already approved, no changes are made. If a tie occurs, advancement does not automatically happen.
