PRE-SEASON EVALUATION CAMPS
Tryout schedule creation.
Schedule attributes ex: U13, gender, category…
Draft team creation : be able to create draft teams before the season start.
Use case : an association putting together teams or groups of players to play against each other to evaluate the kids in order to
Move kid to a higher category
Spit kids adequately in the same category so we have balanced (see team balancing process) teams
Push draft to registration
Registrar publish draft to HCR to create roster - integration with HCR
Flow of events : after evaluation a group of kids have been selected to play in the same draft team and now the evaluators want that draft team to get vetted by the registrar when the evaluators set the draft as completed or ready for registration. When validated by the registrar the team go from draft to ready to publish. When it is published by the registrar, the roster is link to an official HCR team and roster is automatically populated from the draft.
Publish draft
Every March teams in HCR roll over from the previous season. While players are being evaluated for the teams, they are temporarily rostered to the team but not yet “registered” (sent to HCR). Players will be swapped around each roster throughout the evaluation process, and some will eventually be entirely dropped from these teams. At the end, the roster is submitted to the registrar to administratively upgrade the roster from a “draft” and published into an officially registered team in the registry.
EVALUATION PROCESS
Evaluation is a local organisation process. At that point the local registrars have set the teams in their respective Provincial or National Registry. From their the LSO’s Registrar are waiting after the Evaluators to come up with:
Their REP ex : A, B, C teams : REP tryouts are usually 1 month before the REC teams
Their REC teams
Evaluation forms per kid or per group, for each evaluator
Create an evaluation grid
Player Ranking scores generated from evaluation grid
Team balancing process : use scores to generate balanced draft teams or evaluator drag and drop players from one draft team to the other
When the evaluator is confortable with the players selection, the evaluator link the draft team to a registered team (pull team list from registration)
Push draft team + players to Registrar
REGISTRAR
Validate draft teams received from evaluators
Add team staff
Publish draft to Provincial or National Federation
Roster all set in Provincial or National registry
