Updates and Improvements

Change a team from competition

For the tournament registrar, it’s now possible to change a team from a competition to an other even if the team is approved. This will automatically force an update into Spordle Play to add the team in the new competition and delete the previous one. Note that if the team is already on a game, you will have to remove the team from the game first in Play.

Registration process of external teams on page

We are releasing an update now to improve the registration of the teams from the tournament Spordle Page. It will now be mandatory to do a search first of your team , either by name or by team id, before you are allowed to create an external team. If the system find any team that match your criteria for the competition category they will be displayed. The register an external team button will be displayed after the search.

Competition team contact

In this update, the contact linked to a tournament registration will now be inside a new section that is more easy to manage. In the past, it was only text display and it was not possible to edit. We now have a set of fields that will store the team contact information in that competition. Those fields are editable now and will be use in the communication module for the tournament.

Competition communication

It is now possible to use the Spordle ID communication module to send emails to either team contact or the roster of the teams. From the team management page inside Spordle ID, select the teams you want to communicate with. Them from the Action menu you will have 2 new choices :

  • Team contact

  • Team roster

From there you will have access to the regular communication window that you will be able to use to trigger your email.
