Here is a step-by-step guide to setting up sports Spordle tournament management software:

These steps are generally used by our customers. You can easily modify them based on your needs and realities.

Step 1: Initial Setup and Account Creation

  1. Register for an Account:

    • Visit the Spordle website.

    • Click on the "Sign Up" or "Register" button.

    • Fill in the required details (name, email, organization, etc.).

Once completed, our account manager will validate your tournament sanction with your sport's governing body to create your tournament instance and provide you with access.

Step 2: Configure Tournament Details

  1. New or existing Tournament:

    • Log in to your Spordle My Account.

    • Select the tournament

  2. Set up your Tournament:

    • Enter the basic details of your tournament

    • Create a competition. A competition includes the category (division/class), start date, and end date of your tournament. If your tournament has multiple competition (categories), repeat the competition creation process for each one.

    • Select the format (single elimination, double elimination, round-robin, etc.).

    • Specify the number of teams or participants.

    • Set up any specific rules or guidelines for the tournament.

Step 3: Add Teams and Participants

  1. Team/Participant Registration:

    • Open the registration portal for teams/participants.

    • Send out invitations or share the registration link.

    • Collect and review registrations.

    • Approve and add teams/participants to the tournament.

    • Send an electronic invoice to the approved team for payment.

You can use the same Paysafe merchant account used by your MHA for participant registration or create a new merchant account dedicated for capturing payments for your tournament.

Step 4: Scheduling and Bracketing

  1. Create the Schedule:

    • Use the software's scheduling tool to set match dates and times.

    • Ensure there are no conflicts or overlaps in the schedule.

  2. Generate Brackets:

    • Automatically or manually seed the teams.

    • Generate the tournament bracket based on the chosen format.

Step 5: Communication and Updates

  1. Send Notifications:

    • Inform teams/participants of their match schedules.

    • Provide regular updates on any changes or important information.

  2. Set Up Communication Channels:

    • Use built-in messaging tools or integrate with external communication platforms.

    • Create chat groups for teams, officials, and organizers.

Step 6: Live Scoring and Reporting

  1. Real-Time Scoring:

    • Enable live scoring features.

    • Train referees or scorers on how to input scores during matches.

  2. Update Results:

    • Automatically update brackets and standings with match results.

    • Share results with participants and spectators.

Step 7: Post-Tournament Wrap-Up

  1. Finalize and Publish Results:

    • Confirm final standings and winners.

    • Publish the complete results on the tournament website or platform.

  2. Feedback and Reports:

    • Collect feedback from participants and organizers.

    • Generate and review detailed reports on the tournament's performance.

Step 8: Continuous Improvement

  1. Analyze Data:

    • Use the gathered data to identify areas of improvement.

    • Plan for future tournaments with insights from the reports.
