Here’s the latest releases and updates from the Spordle PLAY platform :
Suspensions Tab
A new Suspensions tab is now available for users managing suspensions (Super Admins, Admins, League Managers, and League Directors). This feature aims to streamline suspension management, making it more accessible and user-friendly. The tab includes filters for easier navigation in the list view.
Here’s how it looks:
New Features
Adding Incident Reports Not Linked to Penalties
Users can now add incident reports to a game, even if the incident is not tied directly to a game penalty.
Optimizations
Performance Improvements
We’ve resolved a significant slowness issue in Play that occurred over the past few weeks.
The problem was traced to the doubling of offices in Play, which exposed a flaw in the API's internal caching mechanism.
The caching object was being deep-cloned for every new office, causing rapid memory expansion.
This issue has been addressed, and Play should now operate noticeably faster in Production.
Fixes
Announcement Emails
Issue: Officials with qualifications that did not have an expiry date were not receiving announcement emails.
Resolution: This issue has been fixed, and all officials will now receive emails as expected.
Links on Suspension Cards
Issue: Links (e.g., schedule, team, game) on suspension cards were accessible even if the user lacked permissions, leading to empty pages and "Item not found" errors.
Resolution: Links are now only clickable for users with appropriate access.
Scoresheet Notifications
Issue: Since the 1.83.0 release, scoresheet notifications were not being sent upon game completion.
Resolution: This issue has been resolved, and notifications will now be sent correctly.
