New categories for the 2025-2026 season

• Starting with the 2025-2026 season, Hockey Canada will create categories exclusively. The federation has harmonized the nomenclature of categories, branches, and classes. Branches will have the option of activating these new categories but cannot create new ones.

• Categories will now be required when creating registration fees. They must also be updated when rolling over categories from previous years.

• The history of categories from previous seasons will remain visible, but changes will no longer be possible.

Registration fee column added to waiting list management

• It is now possible to see which registration fee a member on the waiting list is associated with, making it easier for organizations to manage the waiting list more efficiently.

Remove the obligation to add a team or position during a suspension.

• It is no longer mandatory to add a team or position when creating a suspension in HCR.
