MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH

JIRA

  1. Go to Jira and find your release (DEVELOPMENT → RELEASES)

  2. Add the issues to be released

  3. Create release notes and link it to “Release notes” from Play Reference Space

  4. Remove the time from title

  5. Remove extra details pre populated

  6. Add description of each case

  7. Get approvals on your release

  8. Releases → action → release

  9. Send release notes to #play-release when the release hits PROD

GitHub

  1. If there’s a migration, using the hisports user to the db, run the migration in PROD

  2. GitHub → branches → create branch from master → release/{version}

  3. Monitor from GitHub actions

  4. Monitor from AWS Amplify and if it fails, redeploy the version
