When can a request for release be made?
By registering with a club, the player commits to the club for a period of affiliation, which runs from May 1 of one year to April 30 of the following year. If the player wants to end his membership and change clubs before the end of the affiliation period, he can request a release. The club may accept or refuse this release.
Why can't I request a release?
Here are the rules that have been put in place to avoid requests for the release of a member

Request a permanent release

must be with the club requesting his release for the current season.
The player must not have any current requests for removal or release.
The player must not be administratively suspended.
What happens when a player is released?
Member who has only the player member type
In the case of a member who is a player in Club A and wants to move to Club B after playing some games, the following rules will apply:
The member (player) changes primary organization (Club A), and his primary club becomes Club B.
The player is automatically released from his team in Club A and will be displayed in the Released Players section.
He stays affiliated with Club A, and the Released notification is displayed on his player member type.
Club A can still access transactions in the member profile
The player can now register online with Club B
Club B can renew the player using the Renew member function.
The member can no longer be a player in a game for Club A and cannot be added to a team for this type of member in Club A.
Club A can no longer validate the member type; the member no longer belongs to Club A.
Club A will no longer be able to add the player to a scoresheet in Spordle PLAY

What happens when a player who is also a coach is released?
Member who is a player and coach at the same club
It is possible for a member who is a coach and a player in the same club to request a release from the team for which he is a player. For example:
The member is a player and coach in Club A
He has played games for Club A
He wants to move to Club B
He wants to stay on as coach in Club B
The following rules will apply:
The member (player) changes primary organization (Club A), and his primary club becomes Club B.
The player is automatically released from his team in Club A and will be displayed in the Released Players section.
He stays affiliated with Club A, and the Released notification is displayed on his player member type.
Club A can still access transactions in the member profile
The player can now register online with Club B
Club B can renew the player using the Renew Member function.
The member can no longer be a player in a game for Club A and cannot be added to a team for this type of member in Club A.
Club A can't validate the member type; the member no longer belongs to Club A.
The member continues to be a coach for Club A
The member is still available to Club A until the end of the membership period.
The member can no longer be a player in a Club A game but is still a coach for that club.
It will be impossible to add the player to a scoresheet in Club A in PLAY for the type of member who has been released.

It is possible for a member who is a coach and player in the same club and a coach in another club to request a release from the team for which he is a player. For example:

He wants to move to Club C
He wants to stay on as a coach in Club A and Club B
The following rules apply:
The member (player) changes primary organization (Club A), and his primary club becomes Club C.
The player is automatically released from his team in Club A and will be displayed in the Released Players section.
He stays affiliated with Club A, and the Released notification is displayed on his player member type.
Club A can still access transactions in the member profile
The player can now register online with Club C
Club C can renew the player using the Renew Member function.
Member can no longer be a player in a game for Club A and cannot be added to a team for this type of member in Club A
Club A can't validate the member type; the member no longer belongs to Club A.
Member continues to be a coach for Club A and Club B
All three Clubs have access to the member's profile
The member is still accessible to Club A until the end of the membership period.
Member can no longer be a player in a Club A game but still be a coach in that club
It will be impossible to add the player to a scoresheet in Club A in PLAY for the type of member who has been released.
