This user guide is designed for league and tournament schedulers responsible for organizing games, whether it's for a league, tournament, or cup, including regular season, playoffs, or other events. Everything you need to know about creating games will be thoroughly explained here.

While the scheduler is accessible through schedules and offices, the design of PLAY remains primarily focused on schedules. Therefore, you still need to create a schedule and then add teams and games to it.

Note: Before starting to create your schedule, please review the checklist needed that will help you complete your schedule and manage the associated information effectively.

Now, let's get started with creating your schedule!

Confirm the Season

Ensure you're selecting the correct season from the dropdown menu at the top left-hand corner of the screen.

Select Schedule Type

Choose between League or Tournament schedule by clicking on the corresponding menu item based on your requirements.

Access Leagues or Tournaments

From the left menu, click on Leagues or Tournaments. Use the search box to find your league, then click on its line to access its profile.

Add Schedule

Expand the Schedules menu within the league profile, then click on + Add Schedule to proceed.

Note: Competitions for a league or tournament can be created in Spordle ID. They are then synchronized with Spordle PLAY. Each competition is equivalent to a schedule..

Schedule Information

Complete the required fields in Schedule information

  • Schedule name (e.g. U13MLDIR)

  • Season (make sure you're in the right season)

  • Schedule type

    • Exhibition

    • Placement

    • Championship/Regular season

    • Playoffs

    • Tournament

  • Category (enter first few characters)

If the category is modified in the schedule after it has been created, this modification will also apply to the games. However, this modification will not be possible directly in a game.

  • Field format

  • Regulation time : Indicate the regulation time (playing time in minutes).

Select Teams

Add teams to the schedule. Teams are automatically assigned an order, which is used for generating round-robin schedules. You can add/remove teams at any time and edit the order as needed.

Select Teams: Choose teams within an association or league or copy from another schedule.

Add Teams: Manually search for teams. Use the category filter to quickly find teams.

Skip: Use when uploading a schedule from a CSV file.

The team can be synchronized with Spordle ID. In this case, there's no need to add it manually, as it will be integrated automatically. If the team comes from Spordle ID, an icon will appear next to its name.

Add Sequence

The system will then ask you to indicate the sequence of game numbers you wish to set for this schedule. This option allows the system to automatically number your game numbers as they are published, according to your selection.

IMPORTANT: You will not be able to publish your schedules if a sequence has not been added.

A reminder will appear at certain times during schedule creation if the sequence is not correctly configured.

To add your sequence, click on +Add a sequence.

Note: it is possible to click on Skip at bottom left and add your sequence before publishing your schedule.

For your sequence, three fields are displayed. The first is the prefix, i.e. the name you assign to your schedule. The second is the start number of your sequence for this schedule. The third is the suffix, which corresponds to the end number of your sequence, although it is not mandatory.

If a sequence reaches its limit (you have created more games than your sequence end number), it will no longer be possible to add games to this schedule until you change your sequence end number.

If you have created groups, you must select your group. You must then create sequences for each of your groups and schedules. If you don't have a group in this schedule, simply click on No Group.

Note: Sequence numbers will not appear when your games are in draft mode, as they may be shifted in dates, so an arbitrary number is assigned. However, when your schedule is published, the sequence numbers will be added in ascending order.
