Session 1 - Overview and Registration

Spordle ID - Overview and Navigation Click here for user guide

Things to remember:

  • In the top right hand corner of Spordle ID you will find the following:

    • A link to take you to your My Account - My Account is the same as what families will use for linking family members, making payments, updating missing information on their profile, and adding contact information. Click here for user guide

    • A link to the help user guide - The link to the guide will change depending on the menu in Spordle ID that you are on. Once you are in the guide, you can navigate to any of the pages by using the user guide menu on the left hand side.

    • Adding support request tickets - Please remember to include the name of the member you are asking about as well as their member ID. If possible, please also include a screenshot - this will help me support you faster.

    • Notifications - By default, notifications will be turned on. To manage you notification, click on the bell and then click on the gear. Click here for user guide

  • In the top left hand corner of Spordle ID you will find the following:

    • Communication tool - The email it is set from is a no-reply email that is white listed so that it won’t end up in families spam folder. If any member’s replies to your email, it will be directed to the email you use to log into Spordle with. Click here for user guide

    • History and Favorites - You can set up menu pages that you regularly work on to save time, or a list of your last pages will be listed so you can easily return to that page.

    • Main menu - Manage, Tasks, Catalog, Reports and Settings.

      • Manage - Visit the Manage / Organization menu: Click here for user guide

        • In the general tab, please confirm that this General Information is correct - The information here will be pulled to the public registration page, so you want to make sure it is correct.

        • Also on the general tab, you will find the Merchant Account information - If you want to offer credit card as a method of payment, please contact PaySafe.

        • On the User tab, please review the list of names - if anyone needs to be set up on Spordle ID, or needs to be removed, please contact Baseball Alberta.

        • Staff tab - please remember that there are mandatory staff members that you are required to add.

Catalog Setup - Click here for user guide

Things to remember:

  • I always suggest setting up your catalog from the bottom to the top. The reason for this is, all the menu options feed into setting up your registration fees and online store.

  • During the live training, I talked about how discounts were calculated when membership fees were included in the registration fees. Since membership fees are not going to be added to the fees this year, I have removed this section from the video so there would be no confusion.

Create an Online Store - Click here for user guide

Things to remember:

  • You can make adjustments to your online registration at any time.

  • If you change the display order of your registration, and add a new fee to your store, the display order will be reset.

My Account - Click here for user guide

All families will need to create a My Account. Here parents, administrator, coaches and offices, can manage their accounts, update missing information on their profile, make payments and have a history of all invoices.

 


Session 2 - Teams, Roster and Communications

Things to remember:

  • The communication tool send emails from a No-reply email address that has been white-listed so that the email will not be put in the spam folder. Click here for user guide

  • If anyone replies to the email, it will go to the email address that you are logged in as. Outside emails will not come back into Spordle ID.

  • Creating teams - once you have used Spordle ID for a season, you will have the option to rollover teams that were created in past season. For year 1, you can create an individual team, or create multiple teams at once. Click here for user guide

  • When rostering members, if you can not find the member when adding them to the team, click on the Validate Member Tab. This will tell you the reason why the member can not be added.


Session 3 - Reports - Click here for user guide

Things to remember:

  • A report that you will use the most is the Registration Report. This report can be run in 2 different ways. When you first go to the report, it will be a Summary of all registrations. For a registration report that included names of the members, click on the Action button, and select Go to Detailed report.

  • If you do a manual registration or an exchange of a package, please remember to leave the filter for Online Store blank.

  • If you are looking to find out if you have an manual registrations, you can use the filter Origin.
