Request to referee a game

Depending on your organization, the assigning officials will assign officials to officiate games. However, an official may be able to search for games and request to officiate them. An official will only be able to search for games in their association, the specified arenas, and those for which the refereeing requirement levels are met.

(Example: A Level 1 referee will not be able to see games that require a Level 2 or higher referee.)

NOTE: Your organization may have restricted this access by not allowing officials to request game referees. Check with your organization.

To find a game, click the Games tab in the left menu.

All upcoming games for your organization and arenas will be displayed.

You can search for games using specific criteria to find the games that best suit you by selecting the search filters on the left.

The games that do not yet have an assigned referee will be shown to the left of the game line in an icon indicating the number of referees to be assigned.

The games with all referees assigned will be indicated on the left of the game line with a green checkmark in the icon.

The games pending a response from an official are marked with a black checkmark.

To select a game you wish to request to referee, click on the icon at the end of the game line.

A pop-up window will appear with information about the game. Click on Referee or Linesperson to open the tab. A message will appear indicating that you are qualified to referee the game and are available at the time and arena.

Click on Request at the bottom right.

A window will open asking you to confirm your Request. You can enter a note for the assignors. Click on Request, and the Request will be sent to the assignors.

If your assignor accepts your Request, you will receive a confirmation by email. You will also receive an email in the case of a refusal.
