New Features
Block duplicates in registration mode
A new validation process has been introduced to prevent parents from creating duplicate profiles. During the registration process, parents attempting to create a profile with exactly matching first name, surname, and date of birth will be blocked and receive the following error message:
 An error occurred
A participant with the correct first name, last name, and date of birth already exists in Spordle ID. Please contact your association or organization to access your existing profile or to create a new one.
Registrars will be able to search for the duplicate and determine whether it's the same person or not, and transfer or create a new profile if necessary (with the same first name, last name, and date of birth).

Changing the waiver response
Many users have asked to be able to modify the response to a signed waiver. The user will be able to modify the response at any time in Spordle My Account. However, he must use the same identity that was used to sign the waiver. No other person will be able to request a modification to the response.
The user will not be able to cancel the waiver but only modify the value of the response. There will be no impact on the teams.

Picture upload mandatory
Soccer Québec only
An update on photo uploads has been made to ensure that they are mandatory during the member registration process. The following rules apply:
Profile photos are mandatory for members U8 to Senior.
Photos are only recommended for members U4 to U7.
Photos are valid according to the following criteria:
For players U4 to U18, photos will be valid for three (3) years.
For players U19 and over, photos will be valid for five (5) years.
The photo's expiry date is May 1st of each year.
The validity of photos for coaches and referees is the same as for players.
The system will not allow a parent to continue with the registration process if the photo is missing or expired.
The system will automatically send emails this week to remind parents who do not have a photo or who have an expired photo to upload a photo to Spordle My Account. The system will send a reminder once a week until the photo is uploaded.

Release module
Soccer Québec only
The new version of the release module has been implemented and replaces the previous module. The wording is now release instead of permanent release.
An organization wanting to release a player can now go to the player's profile and use the Action and Release Request menu. The registrar must then select the location where the player is to be released. A window will be displayed showing a list of clubs to which the player can be released.
Â
The system will register the request and the region will have to approve it. A Pending Release Request notification will be displayed on the player's profile.
Â
The region will now be able to approve the release request from the Tasks - Request Management menu, as before. The list display has been improved so that the region can easily see the incoming and outgoing organization.
Â
Once approved, the player is transferred to the new organization. The word Released will be displayed next to the membership type of the old organization. The player can now register online or manually for the new club but can no longer play for the old club.
Â
If the player is registered with a team, he will automatically be released from the team.
Â
The system will apply the following rules:
A release can be made from the current club. The member must have a membership type for the current period in this club.
A release cannot be started if a release is in progress for the member or if a request to delete the member type is in progress.
A release cannot be requested if the member type is under administrative suspension.
A release must be approved by the region only if the target organization is in the same region. Otherwise it must be approved by both the region and Soccer Québec.

Updates and Improvements
Age display
Age display has been improved in some Spordle ID views. When launching a new season, many users wonder why the age is not calculated correctly. This problem is linked to the fact that not all regions start their registrations at the same time.
To avoid this problem and offer a solution that works for everyone, the display has been updated. From now on, both the member's current age and the reference age for the registration season will be displayed.
This is a display change only; we have not modified any rules related to the registration process. The same information in different views will be displayed in the system over the coming weeks.

Second club
Soccer Québec only
A few improvements have been made to this module:
The display of the second club request has been updated so that the member type linked to the request will always be displayed.
When requesting a second club, we will always display the drop-down menu allowing you to select the member type for the request.
The error message has been improved when you make a second club request and there is already a member type or request in progress.
