Here’s the latest releases and updates from the Spordle PLAY platform
New Features
Claim Types Customization
Description: Claim types are now fully flexible and customizable by assigners, assigning managers, admins, super admins, and internal users.
Categories:
Travel: Distance-based rates with optional exclusions.
Expense: Fixed claimable amounts.
Per Diem: Fixed daily rates.
Location: Found in the new Claims Settings card under the Assigning tab.
Improvement
Terminology Updates
“Integrated” changed to “Mixed”: Standardized terminology for gender categories across the Spordle ecosystem.
“Office” changed to “Organization”: Ensures consistent terminology across the platform.
Label Bracket Games
Improvement:
Bracket games are now labeled as “BRACKET GAME” in game lists.
Users can filter by bracket games only, improving clarity in mixed schedules.
Add Change Password to the Play Account
Description: Super Admins and internal users can now change the password or email for accounts not linked to MyAccount.
Reason for Reintroduction: This feature was removed during SSO implementation due to security concerns but has been reinstated to reduce the workload for customer service.
Benefit: Streamlines the process of resetting passwords, especially for urgent situations close to events.
Add Change Password to Spordle MyAccount
Description: Super Admins and internal users can now reset the password or email for accounts linked to MyAccount.
Temporary passwords are valid for 14 days.
Users are prompted to set a new password upon logging in with the temporary password.
Search by Code in Scorekeeping App
Feature: Users can now filter infractions by choice codes or infraction codes in the Scorekeeping app and the SCORESHEET tab.
Access Scorekeeping App from Game Summary
Improvement:
Participants with scorekeeping qualifications can now access the Scorekeeping app directly from the Game Summary page if assigned to the game.
Others must still log in as volunteers or use their scorekeeping roles.
Default Innings for Completed Baseball Games
Change: Default innings for completed baseball games reduced from 9 to 7, reflecting the standard for minor baseball games.
Team Column in Player Stats
Enhancement: The Player Stats section in the Schedule Stats tab now includes a team name column for better clarity.
Bug Fixes
Expired League Manager Roles in Schedule Contacts
Issue: Expired league manager roles were appearing in schedule contacts.
Fix: These roles no longer display, resolving a regression from the previous year.
Deleting Claims and Associated Transactions
Issue: Deleting a claim did not remove its associated transactions.
Fix: Deleting a claim now automatically removes related transactions.
